Meyer Cosman scholarship 2024

It’s that time of year again for our Annual Awards. Applications for the Meyer Cosman Scholarship are open now until April 10.

About the Scholarship

Meyer Cosman established this fund with the intention that a scholarship would be awarded each year to a Manitoba student who is a speed skater for Speed Skating Manitoba and entering university. The recipient must be attending a university as a part-time or full-time student.

This scholarship is awarded based on contribution to speed skating in Manitoba and high academic performance in grade 12. However, it can be awarded to athletes enrolled in university. This award is not intended to be an award based solely on financial need but rather to be awarded for performance on the ice and in school. The scholarship is awarded at the Annual Awards Banquet but funds are not actually given until the fall when the student enters university.
